The French American Chamber of Commerce, Louisiana Chapter, is an independent non-profit private organization dedicated to promoting and developing trade and investment between France and Louisiana. The Chamber is one of 19 chapters of the French-American Chamber of Commerce in the United States of America.

The rebuilding of the Gulf Coast region is now following a strong momentum, and the French American Chamber of Commerce/Louisiana Chapter has been hard at work contributing its share to the process. We have hosted a number of business and political delegations dedicated to the rebuilding New Orleans and Louisiana.   Our role in facilitating commercial relationships between Louisiana and France has never been more crucial.

In the past years, the French government has donated over $1 million to Louisiana French schools, and instituted various hurricane relief programs. French companies - Accor, Air France, Air Liquide, Airbus, Areva, AXA, BNP Paribas, Connex North America, Dassault Aviation, EADS, Eurocopter, Lafarge, L’Oreal, Michelin, Pernaud Ricard, Sanofi-Aventis, Schneider Electric, Société Générale, Sodexho, Suez, Technip, Thales, Total, Veolia Environment, and Zodiac have provided over $22 million in hurricane relief aid. The French American Chamber of Commerce has played a vital role in all of these rebuilding efforts.

Direct Investment of French companies and increased trade between Louisiana and France represent growth and jobs for Louisiana. The greatest reward for our Chamber comes from working in concert with local, state and international organizations to strengthen business ties and create opportunities for French and Louisiana companies – in Louisiana and abroad.

The Chamber provides basic services to assist members in establishing investment opportunities and trade connections between the United States and France. These activities are coordinated closely with French Commercial counselors. The Chamber assists French companies interested in investment and trade with Louisiana upon request.

Breakfast briefings, luncheons, business-card exchanges and receptions allow our members to make personal contacts in the French-American business community and to keep current on the latest developments in international business.
