The French American Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit, business organization founded to promote trade between the United States and France.
The Louisiana Chapter of the French American Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1988. The alliance between France and the United States has a rich history, and New Orleans provides fertile ground for investment from France and trade between the two countries.
We have 2 principal missions :
To promote economic relations between France and the United States, focusing on the Gulf Coast region
To encourage the development of member companies
Upcoming eventsMot du President - Oil SpillAt the request of French Consul General Olivier Brochenin, UBIFRANCE, the French agency for international business development, is sponsoring a delegation of French companies with substantial experience in oil spill cleanup. The French American Chamber of Commerce, Louisiana Chapter, has been asked to help these companies to find local partners. I am writing to ask you to assist in this effort.
Some of the companies have physical equipment to sell (booms, skimmers, pumps, tanks, trawl nets, gloves), others have solutions (absorbents, deep water oil extraction solutions) and others can provide services (remediation of contaminated sands and soils, cleaning and dredging operations).
On August 25, 2010, members of the French delegation will make presentations of their products and services at a forum to be held at the Port of New Orleans Headquarters, 1350 Port of New Orleans Place. The meeting will commence at 10:00 a.m. to be followed by a networking luncheon and matchmaking meetings.
If you need any information about these companies, please contact the French American Chamber of Commerce Louisiana Chapter's Executive Director, Mrs Loretta Krasnow, at the following email address lorannk@bellsouth.net or telephone her at 504.458.159.
Thank you,
Donald A. Hoffman |
